User Interface texts
The NIPO CATI Client by default contains American English user interface texts. These texts may be modified or translated to suit the company requirements. The texts can be changed using within the NIPOSYS.INI configuration file. There are two sections: [OdQesText] defines labels and for NIPO CATI Client interface and the watch station, and [OdQesUIText] defines all interface labels and messages related to the underlying interviewing application. Interface texts not defined in this section use the system defaults.
There are some dynamic functions and values in the text definitions:
- The
& (ampersand) precedes the (menu or button) shortcut letter. Take care that the shortcut keys are used only once in the menu or the screen where they appear. - The parameter
%d represents a decimal value that is inserted by the system. Optionally this is preceded by the number of digits used to format the value (for example %08d means a number will be represented with 8 digits). - The parameter
%s represents a string value that is inserted by the system.
The texts defined in these sections may be set in advance of a multi-installer setup. To do so, edit the file OdQesSetup.ini and add the settings to the sections [Transfer:OdQesText] and [Transfer:OdQesTextUI] respectively.
