NIPO ODIN Version 5.17

System Variables 0-9

Ten system variables can be used in NIPO ODIN next to, and in the same way as, user-defines variables. These system variables are numbered (0-9) and do not have to be defined before they are used. They may contain either numeric or alpha-numeric values.

Example using a system variable

*PUT 7 "chicken"

*QUESTION 1
Do you often eat *? 7 ?

In this example, the word "chicken" is stored in system variable 7 and is displayed in question 1.

Note:
Whereas all variable values are reset at the start of a new interview, system variable 0 retains its value across interviews.
