Changes in NIPO FMS 1.13
This update of the NIPO FMS mainly involves changes with regard to the NIPO SurveyDirect 2.0 release.
- #8512: You can now set the channel (CAWI or CATI) and mode (direct or delayed) for a NIPO SurveyDirect project.
- #8512: You can now set a NIPO SurveyDirect invitation Email message when using NIPO SurveyDirect for CAWI projects, rather than using the switch-mode invitation mail.
- #8510: You can now select which field in the Microsoft Excel template should contain unique values for the entire survey. As an indirect result, NIPO SurveyDirect may now be used for diary projects where a single respondent may be invited or contacted to complete the questionnaire more than once.
- #3465: If a 3rd-party online reporting tool is available, you can now use the NIPO FMS to enable a link to the report page for a NIPO SurveyDirect project.
- #8592: It is no longer possible to change NIPO SurveyDirect related properties for a survey that was never initialized for NIPO SurveyDirect.
- #8937: More sample table system fields can now be used as part of the NIPO SurveyDirect project template. Note that it is not recommended to use system fields as these may be changed by system actions.
- #8594: You can now remove all NIPO SurveyDirect-related data from a survey once you have disabled NIPO SurveyDirect for that survey.
- #8512: The NIPO FMS no longer uses the switch-mode technique to make NIPO SurveyDirect sample available for a survey.
- #8895: The NIPO FMS no longer requires a CATI license to use NIPO SurveyDirect for CAWI purposes only, because it no longer uses switch-mode to send invitation messages.
- #8818: NIPO SurveyDirect is no longer reliant on switch-mode functionality. As a result, NIPO SurveyDirect now also supports switch-mode projects and anonymous CAWI projects.
- The drop-down box in the SurveyDirect... > Projects tab to select a survey to configure now only lists surveys for which NIPO SurveyDirect has been previously configured, instead of all surveys. In addition, an Add... button was added to add new surveys to the drop-down list.
- #9704: Enabling NIPO SurveyDirect for a survey no longer fails if the configuration file for the survey includes fields in the
RespondentFields setting that are already part of the sample table. - #3429: Better Unicode support for the NIPO FMS client, especially with regard to Asian character sets: incorrect character encodings or question marks no longer appear in the NIPO FMS interface, sample uploads, sample printouts and sample downloads. In addition, you can now search and refine searches using Unicode characters.
- #8450: Fixed an issue where a sample table field with a default value did not receive the default value with a NIPO SurveyDirect sample import.
- #8352: Fixed an issue where the log file thread did not immediately end at a NIPO FMS service restart, causing service start messages to be lost in the next log file.
