NIPO ODIN Version 5.17
Data positions in NIPO Conjoint Measurement
The NIPO Conjoint Measurement stores data in the U-file. The length of the data field is depending on the number of features and the number of levels per feature. The length per first and last choice of an feature is depending on the highest code number in the list (for example if the highest code is 9 it uses 1 position, if it is 24 it uses 2 positions, et cetera. The rating of importance per feature is stored in one position. For each level in a feature 7 positions are used. Finally 3 times 7 positions are used for Intercept, Slope and Correlation.
Example questionnaire to calculate number of positions required for NIPO Conjoint Measurement
*LIST 1 1: A 2: B 3: C 4: D
*LIST 2 1: K 3: L 2: M
*LIST 3 11: P 12: Q 13: R 14: S 15: T
*CONJ 61L116 *LIST 1 *LIST 2 *LIST 3 *ENDCONJ
Note: Codes in a list do not have to start with 1 (see list 3 above) nor have to be in ascending order (see list 2 above). The system sets positions according to the order in the list and only reserves positions for the number of codes that are used rather than the highest code number. Filters are based on the code number, not on the order in the list.
