Nfield update – 22 December 2020

On Tuesday 22 December we will release a new version of Nfield. This update features a fix to the NfieldChicagoRC template, and a lot of work to improve the stability and performance of the platform.

NfieldChicago Release Candidate
With tomorrow's update we will add a new version of the NfieldChicagoRC template to your domain.

We were informed by a customer that, when a minimum or maximum was defined on a matrix which allows multiple answers, the template would not render any warnings to the user if the restrictions were not met. This resulted in respondents not knowing what to do to continue in the questionnaire and thus resulting in a drop-out.

The new version of the release candidate contains a fix where we extend the information given to the respondent to guide them in filling in this type of question correctly.

If you're using NfieldChicago, we recommend you start testing the NfieldChicago Release Candidate to make sure your questionnaires and themes will still work properly when this new version is promoted to production on Tuesday 5 January 2021.

Reminder: Update on the Nfield CAPI app strategy per 1 January 2021
As of Friday 1 January 2021, the minimum version for the Nfield CAPI app will be 1.102.001.

Interviewing devices that are running version of the app that is lower than 1.102.001 will no longer be able to synchronize. As a domain administrator it is important to act and share this news within your organization, so it gets to the attention of the people that can take action on this.

If you are working with the older Nfield CAPI apps that will no longer be supported, now is the time to ensure business continuity by keeping CAPI devices updated with the required minimum app versions.
