Nfield update

Nfield update 23 May 2019

On Thursday 23 May your sign-in page for Nfield CAPI Manager and Nfield Manager will change.

Office 365 authentication
With this update, Nfield supports a new way of authentication in Nfield CAPI Manager and Nfield Manager. This feature requires a change in the sign-in screen. The current sign-in screen provides input boxes to specify a domain, user name, and password for sign-in, as in the image below:

After the update, the sign-in screen will have an extra button, as can be seen in the image below:

For now, users can ignore this button and sign in the way they always have, only specifying the domain, user name, and password.

When Office 365 authentication is enabled for users, they will be notified by their domain administrator. When users try to log in with Office 365 while not yet assigned correctly in the domain, the following message will be presented to the user:

"It looks like you have not been assigned to Nfield. Please contact your domain administrator or log in using your Nfield username and password."

This new feature needs our guidance in order to set this up correctly. If your company is interested, please contact the NIPO Helpdesk.

During the update
While this update should not influence your work or the availability of your Nfield domain, it could be that page load times in the Nfield CAPI Manager or Nfield Manager are temporarily higher or that you are signed out and need to re-enter your Nfield credentials.

As always, please share this information with all relevant people in your organization.

Kind regards,
