Setting up the NIPO Fieldwork System Database User Permissions
The NIPO Fieldwork System services require a database user name and password with sufficient permissions to access the database. Three services make use of this account (NIPO CATI / Web Master, NIPO FMS Server and the NIPO Web Server). At most two user accounts are required:
- The NIPO CATI / Web Master and the NIPO FMS Server must use the same account user name and password with the
db_owner role. However it is recommended to give the database user the bulkadmin role - this can greatly improve sample import speed of the NIPO FMS users. - The NIPO Web Server may use a separate account (this is highly recommended). For security reasons the suggested role is
db_datareader.
