Manual Installation or Upgrade

The NIPOFieldworkSystem database may also be installed manually. SQL scripts for a manual installation have been provided with the file package for manual installation, in the DatabaseScripts folder. The installation files may also be used for an upgrade of an existing database of a previous NIPO Fieldwork System, if supported by the upgrade.

Installation of the database requires that the database has been created prior to these steps. To install the database a db_owner account is required at minimum. For an NIPO Fieldwork System installation, run these scripts in order presented here:

SQL script run order

  1. Step 1 - Adjust Field definitions for Existing Fields.SQL
  2. Step 2 General - Create and Modify Tables.SQL
  3. Step 3 CATI_CAWI - Create and Modify Tables.SQL
  4. Step 4 - Fill Tables with Default Values.SQL
