Restarting the Interview Sets New Records to System Error

When creating or updating Sample records with the *NEXTRECORD command, these records are queued to be loaded next after completion of the current interview so that interviewing may continue without disconnecting the telephone line.

When the interviewer restarts an interview after the *NEXTRECORD command was executed, the records that were added to the Sample table by the current record will be set to system error (ResponseCode 20, Status 2) and will be removed from the queue.

Records that were created or updated by a previous record (before using the current record) will remain in the queue. In other words, restarting the active record will only affect the records which were created during the interview of the active record.

For example, person A in a company gives the name of colleague B and colleague C in that same company. B and C will be interviewed in the same telephone session, each of them may give the names of new colleagues. Person B gives the name of D and E. If B restarts the interview after the new records for D and E were created, these respondents are not contacted. But C (that was created by A) is still contacted.
