Nfield update
30 August 2022
On Tuesday 30 August we will release a new version of Nfield. This update contains new endpoints for the Nfield public API, a reminder about the new NfieldChicagoRC template, and several smaller improvements.
New endpoints for data download
We have created new endpoints for downloading survey data for surveys created in the Nfield Manager.

The new endpoints will replace POST v1/Surveys/{surveyId}/Data in the future. They offer better performance and more predictability of how long it takes to create a data download, compared to the current endpoint.

You can now use POST v1/Surveys/{surveyId}/DataDownload to retrieve data for a survey and for individual records you can use POST v1/Surveys/{surveyId}/DataDownload/{interviewId}.

These new endpoints can be found under the SurveyData header in the Nfield Public API.

For customers that would like to change their programs we have created clear mapping in the new endpoints so they can easily migrate from using POST v1/Surveys/{surveyId}/Data.

As an example, for the Europe region more information can be found on the Nfield API Help Page (https://api.nfieldmr.com/help). Please also check out the Nfield SDK (Software Development Kit) repository (https://github.com/NIPOSoftware/Nfield-SDK) which contains examples using Postman.

NfieldChicago release candidate (reminder)
Last week we updated the NfieldChicagoRC template in your domain.

This update contains the following:
Fixed an issue where the order or mentions was not correctly stored for an Nfield CAPI survey under certain circumstances. We have now added 2 new checks to make sure the order of mentions is correctly stored for a respondent. If this is not the case, the respondent will be transferred back to the original question and will need to select the items again.
Fixed an issue on smaller devices for questions that use the pop-over option.
If you are using NfieldChicago template, we recommend you start testing the NfieldChicago release candidate (NfieldChicagoRC) to make sure your questionnaires and themes will still work properly when this new version is promoted to production on Tuesday 6 September 2022.
Miscellaneous
It is now possible to manually configure the exit links in the format of https://{ExitCode} for online surveys in the Nfield Manager.
