On Tuesday 5 July we will release a new version of Nfield. This update contains a new Nfield CAPI app, and several smaller improvements.

Nfield CAPI app

With this release we have addressed several parts of the Nfield CAPI app:
|

Updated the security certificates.
|
|

|
Improved logging of the sync events.
|
|
|
The latest version of the Nfield CAPI app in Google Play will now be version 2.23.
|
|
Custom Response Codes in the Nfield Manager
|
Custom response codes can now be added / enabled / disabled at domain level per channel for Online and CAPI surveys.
The Properties 'Selectable', 'Definite' and 'Appointment' for Custom response codes can be enabled/disabled per channel (Online/CAPI) at the domain level.

NfieldTool end of support
|
NfieldTool was originally created to give Nfield (CAPI) users an easy user interface for some common tasks that were not supported through the CAPI Manager. NfieldTool has been using the Nfield Public API to complete the tasks.
With the completion of migration of all Nfield CAPI Manager functionality into the Nfield Manager, the original purpose of NfieldTool is gone. As the Nfield Public API is being updated, some efforts have been required to implement the API changes in NfieldTool so that NfieldTool continues to work as it should, also in the future. Examples of API changes are:

The deprecation of the Interviewers end point in favor of the CAPIInterviewers end point.
|
|

|
The deprecation of the SurveyLanguages and SurveyTranslations end points in favor of the SurveyLaguageTranslations end point.
|
|
•
|
|
The deprecation of the SurveyRelocations end point in favor of the SurveyResponseCodes end point.
|
|
The current version of NfieldTool (version 2.10), available on https://www.nipo.com/useful-tools, has been updated to include the changes that were required to support the new API.
Upcoming changes to the Nfield Public API, however, will no longer be processed into NfieldTool. The current version of NfieldTool is the last one that will be released and supported by NIPO.
