The NIPO Fieldwork System License File

Upon purchase your company will have received a license file. This file is required during installation and provides one or more of the following privileges:

  • Use of the NIPO CATI / Web Master, in accord with the purchased license
  • Use of the NIPO Web Server
  • Use of the dialer interface to access an optional 3rd party dialer
  • Use of the NIPO FMS Server and Clients

Licenses of the NIPO FMS Server and the dialer interface are time-limited, in agreement with your NIPO Software contract.

The license of the NIPO CATI / Web Master and NIPO Web Server are either time-limited for a number of concurrent users (both CATI and Web) or paid per complete indefinitely, where a maximum number of completed interviews is given.

The NIPO CATI / Web Manager gives advance warnings for approaching license expirations. For paid-per-complete licenses, the NIPO CATI / Web Master can automatically Email users to inform them of completion progress.

If your license expires, you can contact NIPO Software Sales to extend or change your contract. If your company decides to continue the contract, you will receive a new license file. This file must be copied into the application folders of the NIPO CATI / Web Master and the NIPO FMS Server. Assuming a default installation, those are the following folders:

  • C:\NIPO Software\CatiWeb\Prog
  • C:\NIPO Software\CatiWeb\FMS Server
