Nfield Code Version 1.1
Exporting Open-Ended Answers for Teaming
Before exporting files for teaming, take a moment to consider a good approach for splitting the project among team members. The work flow of your team members should be decisive in how you split your job. For example, you may select to split your project...
- In open-ended answers per question, so that each team member gets a particular question to code
- In open-ended answers per respondent, to assign respondents to coders that master their language
- In exact numbers of open-ended answers, so that all team members have a comparable workload.
To export open-ended answers for teaming
- On any of the Question, Respondent or Answer overviews, make your selection of open-ended answers to export for teaming. Make a selection for a single team member.
- Click on the toolbar or File > Export Teaming File... If you made any changes since your last save, you will be asked to save your file first. You must always save the current project file before continuing - this avoids discrepancies between the main project files and the teaming file.
- Specify a file name and a location to save the file to. After the export, open-ended answers are automatically locked for coding. Their related Question Details and Code Frames are locked for teaming until the teaming files.
- Repeat your steps for all team members working on the project.
You can only unlock the open-ended answers by re-importing the teaming files at a later stage.
