NIPO Fieldwork System Version 1.14GeneralGeneral configuration settings The Identification section sets the network identification of the NIPO CATI / Web Master on the network. Take care changing these settings - any changes may prevent client applications from connecting to the service. Master name Sets the RPC name on the network by which the NIPO CATI / Web Master may be connected. Requires that the RPC Locator and RPC Name Service are running on the local machine. NetBIOS name Obsolete. Provided for backward compatibility only. TCP/IP Port Sets the TCP / IP Port at which to listen for incoming connections. This port is used when using the Pure TCP / IP communication protocol to connect the NIPO CATI / Web Manager applications, the NIPO CATI Client application and the NIPO ODIN Web Server (ODIN Demon). Network logon Specifies the user name, password and domain account by which the NIPO CATI / Web Master service may access file locations across the network. This is only required if the Location section accesses folders beyond its own local file locations. The NIPO CATI / Web Master signs in on the domain using this account. Database logon Sets database username and password to sign in on the database. The service is configured through an ODBC connection and is not specified here. The NIPO CATI / Web Master uses the same account as the NIPO FMS Server to connect to the database. This account requires Email validation level For switch-mode type surveys using the NIPO Web Server only. When a NIPO CATI interviewer triggers an Email invitation to a phone respondent to continue the interview as a web interview, this sets the validation level of the Email address given by the respondent:
The last two settings require that network account used by the NIPO CATI / Web Master has Internet access. Note: |
