Permissions

Permissions settings

The various users in your organization that work with the NIPO CATI / Web Manager have different needs and requirements so they require different permissions. Fieldwork managers, for example, require starting surveys and assigning surveys to interviewers whereas fieldwork executives require access to survey configuration and stratification changes.

Permissions within the NIPO CATI / Web Manager allow you to set the privileges of the users of the NIPO CATI / Web Manager. Permissions may be set per user or per physical workstation, but they may also be set in profiles.

Any newly started NIPO CATI / Web Manager that is a yet unknown workstation or user gets the Default profile. It is strongly recommended to set very limited permissions to the Default profile.

Note:
Make sure there is at least one user or workstation with an allow all profile. It is recommended to set the server running the NIPO CATI / Web Master to allow all as well.

New users must start the application at least once before they can be assigned permissions.
