Starting the NIPO FMS Server

The NIPO FMS Server requires two services to run:

• The NIPO FMS Server itself
• The Borland Socket Server, which handles the incoming TCP/IP connections

The Borland Socket Server must be configured to start automatically at server start, or NIPO FMS client connections will fail. The NIPO FMS Server may be configured to start automatically at server start, but this is not required - incoming NIPO FMS Client connections automatically start the NIPO FMS Server.

Note:
The NIPO FMS Server, like the NIPO CATI / Web Master, requires that the MS SQL server in use is available.
